Darren Tymens

Dr Darren Tymens became Chair of The Croydon GP Collaborative (CGPC) in August 2025. He has been involved in supporting Croydon General Practice for over ten years, most recently as Deputy CEO and Medical Director for Surrey and Sussex LMCs (a role he left in July 2025).
He is also currently a Deputy Medical Director for Londonwide LMCs in North East London and has been a GP Partner in Richmond since 2000. He is a GP Vocational Training Scheme Programme Director and has previously served as a Trainer, Appraisal Lead, and PCT Medical Director. He has previously chaired a GP federation in Richmond.
He is passionate about general practice, and spends his spare time reading, hiking and running around after his partner, his daughters, and his cats.
